My spiritual director wrote in the St Ignatian movement 3, this week's Scriptures "He invites me now to witness how he suffered in his humanness, choosing to take on the burden of repairing the rupture between me and God. He chooses to take all the pain of my separation and disordered attachment into his own body, becoming everything I am."
This season, 2024, will be ongoing experiences of ruptures needing repair. It will be a spiritual practice sort of thing. It is impossible to experience those repairs without spending time with Jesus, in prayer, to be able to recognize His supernatural power in our experience, situation. His solution, offering, could be missed because of our limited vision. While he says don't speak where there isn't any listening (don't throw your pearls before swine), he doesn't say don't listen. If we believe He is at work in each and everyone he has created, we could miss what He is doing in the other if we don't listen. We could miss the opportunity to shift a perspective without patient, kind but bold expression if we witness possibility.
