To those who have donated subscriptions for others on fixed incomes — thank you. Your generosity is quietly changing lives.
And thank you for sharing The Trailhead with friends, small groups, or anyone longing for a deeper, more grounded connection with Jesus.
Your support helps this work continue — and reach those who need it most.
Polycarp’s response to the Roman’s governor’s offer of leniency if he would just turn away from his trust in Jesus:
“For eighty-six years I have served him (Christ), and he has done me no wrong; how then can I now blaspheme my King and Savior?”
CENTERING WORSHIP: FAIREST LORD JESUS
You might find this gentle hymn to open your heart to see the good and perfect gifts of Christ. You can find it HERE. It will take 4:03 minutes to listen to this old hymn.
A CENTERING ACTIVITY: TODAY MAKE A LIST
Throughout the day, keep a running list of all the good gifts you notice. Find five. Once you have found five, find five more. Once you have found ten, find five more. Can you fill a page by the end of the day?
A CENTERING PRAYER:
With apologies to Polycarp, today let your prayer begin like this: “On February 1, God, you have done no wrong to me. Far from it! Instead, you have given me gift after gift. Let me tell you what I have received, so that You know that I know these gifts came from You. (Read your list to God.) Gracious God, how can I not acknowledge you and say “thank you” from my heart for all you have done today? Thank you, my friend. Amen.”
